Soft light filtering through the trees woke Naruto. He sat up, rubbing his head. Had it all been a dream?  He looked around, seeing he was in what appeared to be the remains of a tree. On one one the remaining walls, he saw Sasuke, tied up and glaring at him. So, it wasn't a dream...  Suddenly he gave a start. "HINATA!" he cried out "Relax, Naruto, some medical ninja took her to the building in the center of the forest." The voice spoke from behind the blonde, and he whirled around. "Kakashi-sensei!...Then....she's alright?" Said jounin smiled and nodded. "She suffered a mild concussion, but other than that, she's fine." Naruto flopped

Hinata, once again, was training. Ever since the time she had fought with Neji, Hinata trained harder than she ever had before. A noise from behind startled her. The young Hyuuga whirled, settling into her stance, only to relax when she saw who it was. A girl stood in front of her. She had chestnut-brown hair tied up in buns, dark eyes, and had bright red lipstick. "Oh!" Hinata exclaimed, "Y-You're Neji nii-san's teammate!..um...Tenten!" Said teen smiled. Chapter 12: Return to Konoha The next few days passed quite uneventfully. Naruto was able to heal completely, and Hinata's hand recovered completely, except for 3 jagged cars across the back. Because of the attack, Haku felt it necessary to remain in the village, and the leaf ninja returned home. Naruto and Hinata went in to report after their guards. "Mission successful, Tsunade-sama." "Very well, then. Report back tomorrow for your next mis--" Tsunade began, until Naruto cut her off. "Tsunade-san" he spoke quietly, "I want to be in the next chuunin exams." She glared at him ,obviously annoyed at being cut off, "that won't be necessary.
