The future of Hinata:chapter 6

chapter 6ld faces, new enemies

They continued on to the bridge. It was long finished, and it had proven to be a testament of bravery when it was being built. Once it had been completed, it had been named the Great Naruto Bridge(A/N for full details as to why, read the manga or watch the anime!). Thanks to the bridge, the Land Of Waves was no longer a poor country, but was instead a bustling seaport which had required a new ninja village. It was dubbed the village hidden underwater. It was there that Naruto and Hinata were delivering the package, and the group wasted no time in heading to the village. As they entered it, they were met by a young boy.

"Naruto! They sent you? It's so great to see you!"

Naruto looked blankly at the boy. "Do I know you?" he asked. The child was dressed identically to Naruto from when Naruto was in the academy, from the orange jumpsuit to the goggles. The only two differences between the two were the lack of whiskers, and the boy's unruly black hair partly covering his eyes.

"It's me, Inari, don't you remember me?" The young kid looked hurt.

"Oh yeah!" Sakura spoke up, "The Bridgebuilder's grandson!...But why are you dressed like naruto?"

"Well, I'm training to be a ninja now!"

"That's cool!" Ino smiled. "But...why are you dressed like Naruto?" Sakura whisperedinto her ear and Ino looked touched."Oh, never mind."

"So the hokage sent you?" another ninja said, stepping in front of Inari and adressing Kakashi.

"Please, I'm merely a shadow. talk to her," Kakashi waved his hand about, then pointed at Hinata

"Right." The ninja turned to Hinata. "You have the treaty I presume? I shall take it too the head ninja."

Hinata looked away, looking a little embarassed. "Umm, if it is possible, we were instructed to deliver it directly."

"If that is your wish...follow me." The groups followed the ninja through winding streets, and eventually, they reached an administartive building. The ninja ushered them inside, then called out,

"Haku-sama! The leaf ninja have arrived!"

The old members of team 7 started. "Haku?" naruto whispered, "B-b-but he's dead! Kakashi-sensei, you killed him, didn't you?"

"Yeah," Kakashi replied, shock and fear evident in his one eye, "I shot him with a raikiri right through his chest!" But just then, a figure stepped through the door. it was, indeed, Haku.

"Haku?" Sakura stammered out, "But...we thought you were dead!"

"We'll talk later" Haku replied, looking surprised at the presence of Naruto, Sakura, and Kakashi. "Right now, you have a peace treaty for me?"

"Um...right!" Hinata handed over the package, startled at what she saw through her Byakugan.

"All right" Haku announced, after taking a quick look at the papers in the package. "you have a few days. You may do whatever you wish in the village, as long as you do not cause trouble with my people. I will contact you when the return message is ready."

"But..." Naruto started.

"I'll talk to you when I'm not busy." So they left out the door, escorted by the ninja who had sent them in. As they were walking, Sakura turned to face Naruto and Hinata.

"Hey, are you two up for a double date tonight? Me and Ino had plans, but we were assigned this mission."

"Y-y-you? A-And Ino?" Naruto spluttered. "You're together?"

"Oh yeah! I guess you didn't know about it! We've been going steady for over a year now!"

"Yeah, we got really close after Sas--"Ino was cut short by a nudge from Kakashi, who still looked shocked by the presence of Haku.

"Um...what do you think Hinata?" Naruto asked, He still seemed to be comprehending the shock of this news.

"A date?Um...s-sure!" Hinata blushed furiously. Things were moving so fast! A date with Naruto! She was in heaven! Then, with a jolt, she realized that all she had were clothes to wear for her mission!

"Oh no!" She cried out. "I have nothing to wear!" Naruto sweatdropped, and even kakashi was shaking his head, supporting it with one hand.

"We'll go with you to get some clothes Hinata. We need some things anyway!" Ino said this and put her hand on the black-haired girl's shoulder. As they searched for something else to say, Inari came running up to them again.

"Hey! I was talking with my mom and grandpa, and they said that you could stay at our house while you're here! Come on!"

" Yeah!All right! I get to see old man Tazuna again! Dattebayo!" Naruto shouted, and with that, they followed Inari to his house.
